We have an onsite Manager who is supported by all 4 Directors/Proprietors. We work in a multidisciplinary way to identify and manage risks to both clients and staff and seek professional advice when required.
Areas which have been identified as requiring improvement by the CQC in multiple care homes and institutions nationally such as the use of restraint, deprivation of liberty and safeguarding are taken very seriously in our organisation. We pride ourselves on our policies, training and experience in these areas so that we can provide high quality and safe care.
Having learnt lessons from various high profile cases and published reports we have developed our policies and protocols based on the detailed review and reflection of these documents. Putting People First, Six Lives - the provision of public services to people with learning disabilities, Mansell 2 and Winterbourne View are just some of the documents we used to learn from. We recognise the importance of complying to the regulations set out in the health and social care act. We also have reviewed documents such as the Winterborne view report and the Mansall report and learnt lessons from these documents about when regulatory responsibility has not been followed as it should've been.
We use formal standardised QCS policies and procedures to guide the development of our own policies and procedures which can provide you with reassurance of quality assurance and benchmarking. We also have robust systems for monitoring quality.
We have taken the time to invest in the QCS. We have tailored the policies and procedure to our service and have carefully designed mechanisms and systems to monitor the quality of delivery of our service. By implementing these procedures we can keep an accurate audit trail which will help aid the improvement of our safe and effective service delivery.
